📝 Consignment Contract

Every consignor must complete and sign a current Consignment Contract with detail each time items are consigned. By signing the contract, the consignor agrees to all terms and conditions outlined on the reverse side of the agreement. Contracts are available both in The Guild Shop and on our website.

Please take the time to carefully review the contract. While every effort is made to accommodate our customers, The Guild Shop operates under established policies and procedures that apply to all consignments/estates.

  • Consignors receive 60% of the selling price of each item sold.  See Mark-Down Policy for further details
  • Estate consignments are split 50% to the consignor and 50% to The Guild Shop.
  • Checks are issued on the 15th of each month for items sold during the previous month.
  • Checks may be picked up at the Shop through the end of that month.
  • Checks not picked up by the last day of the month will be mailed.
  • Once the minimum payment threshold is met, a cumulative check will be issued.

Condition Policy

All items submitted for consignment or donation must be:

  • Clean and in good condition
  • Free of stains, odors, excessive wear, or damage
  • In current style and appropriate for the season
  • Ready for immediate sale

Items that do not meet these standards may be declined, donated, or discarded at the sole discretion of The Guild Shop.

Items appearing on our Never Take List will be donated or discarded without notice to the consignor.

💲 Pricing Policy

The Guild Shop determines the selling price of all consigned merchandise. We welcome your suggestions and any information you may have regarding an item's value; however, final pricing decisions remain at the discretion of The Guild Shop.

Minimum starting prices are:

Department

Minimum Price

Clothing

$12.00

Household

$9.00

Jewelry

$12.00

Art

$30.00

🏷️ Mark-Down Policy

All merchandise is reduced according to a scheduled markdown program until it reaches its final markdown.

At the 4th markdown, an item becomes impounded, meaning ownership transfers to The Guild Shop.  Items originally priced at $100 or more that become impounded may be re-priced and returned to the consignor's account.

Markdown schedules vary by department. Consignors are responsible for understanding the markdown schedule that applies to their items.

Holiday merchandise may be marked down immediately following the holiday, regardless of its regular markdown schedule.

Reclaiming Consigned Items

Generally, items originally priced at $59 or less may not be reclaimed.

Items originally priced at $60 or more may be reclaimed at any time prior to reaching their final markdown. A handling fee equal to 10% of the original ticket price will apply.

Consignors who wish to reclaim eligible items are responsible for monitoring the status and markdown schedule of their merchandise. Because markdown schedules vary by department, The Guild Shop does not send reminders, notifications, emails, phone calls, or other communications regarding markdowns, final markdown dates, or impound dates.

It is the consignor's responsibility to track the progress of their items and request reclamation before the final markdown occurs. Once an item reaches its final markdown and becomes impounded, ownership transfers to The Guild Shop and the item is no longer eligible for reclamation.

Acceptance of Consignments

All consignments are accepted subject to the sole discretion of The Guild Shop.

The Guild Shop reserves the right to decline any item based on:

  • Legal restrictions

  • Space limitations
  • Condition concerns
  • Authenticity concerns
  • Marketability
  • Consistency with the standards of our Christian ministry

Acceptance of an item on a previous visit does not guarantee acceptance of similar items in the future.

🚫 Never Take List

The Guild Shop cannot accept certain items due to legal restrictions, safety concerns, space limitations, or organizational standards.

Counterfeit, damaged, stained, broken, recalled, or otherwise unsellable items may be discarded without notice.

All items are subject to acceptance based solely on the discretion of The Guild Shop. The Shop reserves the right to refuse any item at any time.
