Thank you for your Fabulous Holiday Consignments! Please remember to place your account number on each item (and not just the bag it is in).
FURNITURE & RUGS
We do not accept furniture/rugs without an appointment. Please upload your furniture/rug photos and dimensions to https://theguildshop.org/pages/consignment-furniture-and-rugs. We will then get back with you and set-up an appointment to discuss.
NO Suitcases or Trunks
HOUSEHOLD: 8 Items Total
Household will be accepted on Wed, Oct 1, Sat, Oct 4, Wed, Oct 8, Sat, Oct 11, Wed, Oct 15 and Sat, Oct 18
LAST Halloween take-in is Sat Oct 11
A note on GLASS of all kinds: Please bring us glass pieces -- whether drinking glasses, vases, candlesticks or other items -- that have character, color, texture & unique design. We're looking for pieces with interest and individuality. These are the kinds of item that sell quickly! Plain glasses, platters and pieces do not sell well.
- CHEERS & HO! HO! HO! We are accepting CHRISTMAS & THANKSGIVING HOUSEHOLD, BUT ENSURE IT'S ON A HOLIDAY CONTRACT AND INCLUDED IN YOUR TOTAL 8 ITEM COUNT.
- We look forward to receiving your fabulous dishes and tabletop!
- No floor Christmas trees, stands, or lights.
- No knick-knacks! (shelf decor with low value) We WILL mission these.
- No baskets, plastic, platters, punch bowl,s or hurricane globes
- Each tub requires a separate contract.
- Large items that do not fit in tubs require a separate contract.
- All items should have the account number discreetly attached (preferably on the bottom).
CLOTHING: 5 Items in total incl. clothing, hats, shoes, belts & purses
Clothing will be accepted on Wed, Oct 8 & Sat, Oct 18
Labeling your clothing: We need as much detail as possible in the description, such as “Blue silk top with ¾ sleeves and covered buttons” or “Beige wool coat with belt and removable faux fur hood”. Please ensure that you either use tape or stickers that "stick" to your clothing with your account number, but also be aware of delicate fabrics.
Reminders:
- .NO MORE SUMMER (no spaghetti straps, sundresses, pastels, sheer)
- 1 Pair of Women's Pants ONLY
- 1 Winter Coat per take-in
- UGLY Holiday/Christmas Sweaters accepted
- Men’s shirts-cleaned and pressed accepted only on Wed, Oct 8 (no men's pants, coats or suits please!)
- Accepting clean and pressed current styles
- No longer accepting Shein, Old Navy, Costco and Walmart brands.
- All items should have account numbers discreetly attached/taped in lining near the inside label - but not covering the label.
PURSES AND SHOES: (Purses & one pair of Shoes are part of your 5-item total items, but need a different contract on Wed, Oct 8 & Sat Oct 18)
- NO STRAW HATS OR SUMMER HATS
- ONE PAIR OF SHOES PER CONSIGNMENT -- Fall transitional footwear -- Loafers, closed-toe, clogs, Mary Janes, ballet flats, cap toe flats, Suede & winter styles, ankle and fashion boots will be accepted
- Linings must be clean, free of stains, and not peeling
- Place stickers with the consignment number on the bottom of the shoes
FURS: Please bring in furs (up to 2) in October. Bring directly into the shop consignment area (similar to our Designer Process). Please ensure they are in great condition. We will not accept furs that are ripped or dry. See below for our fabulous ReFURbish event in November.
HIGH END DESIGNER CLOTHING and ACCESSORIES:
Please bring in Tues/Thur 9:30 am - 1:00 pm in-store with a separate Designer contract and ask for Vera
- Maximum 2 purses and 2 pairs of shoes
- Please make an appointment for additional pairs of shoes and purses
- Designer sunglasses such as Prada, Gucci, and Chanel are accepted.
Designer Brands include couture brands such as Prada, Channel, Gucci, LV, Balenciaga, Hermes, Burberry, Fendi, St. John, Valentino, Dior, Gaultier, Ferragamo, Dolce & Gabbana, YSL etc.
JEWELRY – Mon, Oct 20
Please separate your jewelry with different contracts in different ziplock bags --Regular, Holiday, Frida Khalo & Southwest/Rodeo so it is clear for our jewelry team which pieces to bring out for each of our upcoming events.
October -- 10 regular (includes Christmas) + 10 Frida-inspired pieces -- We are excited to be planning an event that coincides with the MFAH's 2026 Frida: The Making of an Icon. We are planning an event in January to showcase Frida Khalo -inspired jewelry that channels the vibrancy and symbolism of Frida Kahlo's life and art. Think vivid, dramatic and bold statement pieces!
November -- 10 Frida Khalo-inspired + 10 Southwest/Rodeo -- We quickly will follow this with our Rodeo event in March, featuring amazing Southwest jewelry, which offers timeless, handcrafted pieces with earth tones and geometric patterns.
- Jeweled Headbands are accepted during this season only
- Place jewelry and the folded contract inside a gallon sized zip lock bag, no tags, tape, stickers or numbers on individual pieces please!
- Jewelry drop off is indoors at the jewelry office door
- No tortoise or ivory!
- The Jewelry department will no longer accept sunglasses. Designer sunglasses will now be accepted through our Designer Clothing department.
ART
The Art Department will be accepting Art on Wed, Oct 15
- One piece (36x36 or smaller) per consignment, unless it is a pair or grouping. Please consult with our Art Department manager ahead of this consignment date if you would like to bring in something larger
- Please ensure there is a way to hang your piece (i.e. attached wire) so we can properly display your pieces
- Please also know that we do take mixed media and decorative art pieces. However, if they are large, please email art@theguildshop.org to inquire if we have the space to properly display.
ESTATES
Accepted after Oct 21, by appointment only. Contact Regina at furniture@theguildshop.org to discuss and schedule an appointment.
CONSIGNMENT CHECK PICKUP: We are asking that you provide us with a photo identification. Checks are available in-store after the 15th of the month.
