🍁Welcome to Fall!🍁
HOUSEHOLD: We will take a total of 8 items which can include Regular Household, Halloween and Thanksgiving items -- Wed Sep 3, Sat Sep 6, Wed Sep 10, Sat Sept 13, Wed Sep 17, Sat Sep 20. We will take Halloween through Sat Oct 11.
We will have a special add-on consignment (8 items) for Christmas/Holiday. (Mon Sep 8, Mon Sep15 & Mon Sep 22 from 9:30am- 11:30am) -- many of these items will be held and priced for our Holiday Pop-Up Event Sunday, November 9 where we will sell your most beautiful and curated pieces.
Reminders:
- NO CHANDELIERS or LAMPS in SEPTEMBER
- HOLIDAY ITEMS REQUIRE A SEPARATE HOLIDAY CONTRACT
- For HOLIDAY items, please ensure they are packaged to sell. For example, if you have Christmas ornaments, make sure they are in gift-ready packaging (i.e. a nice box), not loose items or grocery store/ziplock bags. Make sure all pieces are included. If they are not packaged to sell properly, we reserve the right to repackage or donate them.
- Separate your regular household consignment from your holiday consignment. If you don’t do this ahead of time, we will ask you to do so in our parking lot before dropping off your items - we will have a table available for you to do this, but it saves time and hassle if you do at home.
- NO Popcorn or cookie tins unless they are antique
- Large items that do not fit in tubs require a separate contract
- All items should have the account number discretely attached (preferably on the bottom)
- Please reference the “no-take”, but as a reminder we do not take office supplies, bed linens, single coffee cups, plastic stuff from the Dollar Store 😀. If it doesn’t have a value of at least $7.50, we don’t take it and will donate it forward.
CLOTHING: 5 Items in total including clothing, hats, shoes, belts and purses
Clothing will be accepted on Sat, Sep 6 and Wed, Sep 17
Autumn Colors and Seasonal Fashion -- Transitional Clothing Styles in September
In September, We will start taking UGLY HOLIDAY/CHRISTMAS SWEATERS (with a separate HOLIDAY Contract). These items are included in your 5 total piece count.
No heavy coats, but light jackets and earth tones! It's not that cold yet, so save your colder weather clothes for October and November
Bring in your FURS starting in September on any Tue/Thu from 10:00am - 2:00pm. Bring them directly into the shop and to our consignment desk. Please ensure they are in good condition. We will not take furs that are ripped, too dry or shedding. Conditioned Furs sell best, if you need your fur conditioned, we recommend Woody’s Furs. ReFURbish Fur sale is planned for mid-November.
Reminders:
- Accepting clean and pressed current styles, transitional fall clothing & accessories
- NO summer hats, sun dresses, white jeans or sleeveless tops/blouses
- No longer accepting Shein, Old Navy, Costco and Walmart brands
- One pair of women’s pants per consignment date
- Men’s shirts-cleaned and pressed accepted only on Sat, Sep 6
(no pants, coats or suits please!)- All items should have account numbers discreetly attached/taped in lining near the inside label - but not covering the label
PURSES AND SHOES: Purses & Shoes are part of your 5 item total items, but need different contract
- ONLY One Pair of Shoes per consignment -- no more sandals
- One Hat, One Purse and up to three belts per consignment
- Fall transitional footwear -- Loafers, closed-toe, clogs, Mary Janes, ballet flats, cap toe flats etc.
- No suede or winter styles, no ankle or fashion boots. We will accept these in October.
- Place stickers with consignment number on the bottom of shoes
HIGH END DESIGNER CLOTHING and ACCESSORIES:
- Please bring in Tuesday/Thursday 9:30 - 12:00 pm in-store with separate contract and ask for Vera or Lisa
- Holiday sparkles and beautiful pieces to get ready for the season!
- Designer sunglasses such as Prada, Gucci, and Chanel accepted.
Designer Brands include haute couture brands such as Prada, Channel, Gucci, LV, Balenciaga, Hermes, Burberry, Fendi, Valentino, Dior, Gaultier, Ferragamo, Dolce & Gabbana, YSL etc.,
JEWELRY: Accepting Mon Sep 22 -- 10 Regular AND 10 Christmas/Holiday-themed (two different bags and two different contracts please)
- Jeweled Headbands are accepted during this season only (limited to one per consignment)
- Place jewelry and the folded contract inside a gallon sized zip lock bag, no tags, tape, stickers or numbers on individual pieces please!
- Jewelry drop off is indoors at the jewelry office door
- No tortoise or ivory!
- The Jewelry department will no longer accept sunglasses. Designer sunglasses will now be accepted through our Designer Clothing department.
October/November -- 10 regular (includes Christmas) + 10 Frida-inspired pieces -- We are excited to be planning an event that coincides with the MFAH's 2026 Frida: The Making on an Icon. We are planning an event in January to showcase Frida Khalo -inspired jewelry that channels the vibrancy and symbolism of Frida Kahlo's life and art. Think vivid, dramatic and bold statement pieces.
November/January -- 10 Frida Khalo-inspired + 10 Southwest/Rodeo -- We quickly will follow this with our Rodeo event in March, featuring amazing Southwest jewelry, which offers timeless, handcrafted pieces with earth tones and geometric patterns.
ART: The Art Department will be accepting Art on Wed, Sep 10th
- One piece (36x36 or smaller) per consignment, unless it is a pair or grouping. Please consult with our Art Department manager ahead of this consignment date if you would like to bring in something larger
- Please ensure there is a way to hang your piece (i.e. attached wire) so we can properly display your pieces
- Please also know that we do take mixed media and decorative art pieces. However, if they are large, please email art@theguildshop.org to inquire if we have the space to properly display.
ESTATES: Accepted starting Sept 22, by appointment only – please call before this date to secure your space as they are limited each month
FURNITURE: Accepted by appointment only. Please bring us your HIGH END DECORATIVE and DESIGNER furniture. Please upload photos and dimensions to https://theguildshop.org/pages/consignment-furniture-and-rugs submission page.
Important Consignment & Shop Details:Consignors, please be aware that if a Department Manager evaluates your items and the item does not meet what the Manager feels is our minimum pricing, the item will be sent to a charity.
CONSIGNMENT CHECK PICKUP: Photo ID is required to pick up check. No exceptions. Checks are available in-store after the 15th of the month.
WISH LIST: We need paper grocery & paper shopping bags with handles and medium size boxes (file size boxes are best)! Please drop them off when you visit.
