☀️ Summer Consignment Made Easy! ☀️ Summer is in full swing, and with the busy season—and Houston heat—upon us, a little preparation goes a long way. By arriving organized and ready, you'll help our volunteers work efficiently, keep the consignment process moving smoothly, and shorten wait times for everyone. We appreciate your partnership as we work together to make consignment days as quick and efficient as possible during these hot summer months.

Before You Arrive

• Complete all required paperwork in advance.
• Be sure your account number is attached to your items.
• Review both our Year-Round No-Take List and our Monthly No-Take List, which has recently been updated. The monthly list can always be found in our Consignment Newsletter and on our online calendar.

Household Consignments

• Place household items in our designated bins or sturdy boxes that can withstand handling.
• Wrap fragile items securely, but please avoid excessive packaging so our pricing teams can easily unwrap.

Clothing, Shoes & Accessories

• Use our tented prep area to transfer clothing onto Guild Shop clear plastic hangers.
• Please leave our hangers with us—we need every one of them!
• Clothing, shoes, and accessories should each have their own contract, as these categories are sorted separately.

Unique decorative accessories, statement pieces, collectible vintage items, quality crystal, and complete sets of china continue to be strong sellers. More and more shoppers are discovering the beauty of "Grandma's china" and are purchasing entire sets for entertaining and everyday use.

This total includes clothing and accessories such as hats, belts, and purses. That means 5 items total — mix and match. We're making room for fresh inventory, so now is the perfect time to bring us your best summer fashions.

Clothing Guidelines

• Men's shirts (cleaned and pressed) accepted ONLY on Tue Jul 14.
• ONLY ONE pair of women's pants or upscale shorts per consignment.
• 🚫 NO jeans
• 🚫 NO men's pants, coats, or suits
• 🚫 We are no longer accepting Old Navy, Shein, Costco, Sam's or Walmart brands.
• Please transfer all clothing onto Guild Shop hangers when you arrive. All items should have account numbers discreetly attached inside near the label, but not covering the label.

PURSE / HAT / BELT

Purses, hats, and belts count toward your total of 5 clothing/accessory items, but each requires a separate contract.

Summer Accessory Suggestions

• ONE pair of summer shoes — sandals, espadrilles, leather slides, or woven flats in excellent condition
• 🚫 NO athletic shoes or flip flops
• ONE hat — wide-brim or trendy styles
• Belts in light colors and excellent condition

HIGH-END DESIGNER CLOTHING & ACCESSORIES

Tuesdays & Thursdays 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM

This is one of our fastest-growing departments, and we need your designer treasures. Our racks and cases are filled with incredible merchandise that is walking the runways and styling some of Houston's best fashionistas.

• Clothing must be in-season or appropriately vintage.
• Designer sunglasses such as Prada, Gucci, and Chanel are accepted.

Designer Brands Include

Prada, Chanel, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga, Hermès, Burberry, Fendi, St. John, Valentino, Dior, Gaultier, Ferragamo, Dolce & Gabbana, YSL and more.

JEWELRY: 10 Items Total

Jewelry Consignment Date

Tue Jul 21 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM -- Inside Jewelry Office

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL ONLY TAKE 10 PIECES per take-in. Additional pieces will be considered a donation.

🚫 No tortoise or ivory items.

Jewelry Drop-Off Instructions

• Minimum value: $12 per piece
• Place jewelry and the folded contract inside a gallon-sized Ziploc bag.
• 🚫 No tags, tape, stickers, or wrapping.
• Write your account number ONLY on the baggie, not on individual pieces.
• Jewelry drop-off is indoors at the Jewelry Office door.

ART

Wed Jul 15. -- 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM

We are accepting:

• One piece per consignment (36" x 36" or smaller)
• Every piece must have wire mounting (no claw hooks).
• Pairs and groupings are welcome.
• For larger pieces, please consult with the Art Department Manager in advance
• 🚫In July, we will not accept any map, documents or "Industrial Photography" i.e. photos of oil rigs, construction architecture, machinery.

We also accept mixed media and decorative art pieces. Display space for larger items is limited, so please email first to art@theguildshop.org

FURNITURE & RUGS

Fresh Finds for Summer Living

Summer is a wonderful time to refresh interiors with lighter, brighter, and more functional pieces. We are especially seeking furniture and rugs that bring warmth, character, and versatility into today’s homes.

Our Furniture Department works hard to create a beautifully curated showroom filled with distinctive, high-quality pieces. Because of space and handling considerations, all furniture and rugs are accepted by appointment only.

Furniture and rugs—whether donated or consigned—are accepted by appointment only so we can ensure the best presentation and results for every piece.  While we do not pick up consignment furniture, we have some allowance for donation furniture ONCE IT IS APPROVED, however it is subject to availability.

ESTATES

Accepted after July 22 by appointment only.  Please contact Regina at furniture@theguildshop.org to discuss and schedule an appointment.

CONSIGNMENT CHECK PICKUP

Please bring a photo ID when picking up checks.  Checks are available in-store after the 15th of the month.
